MORPHOLOGY at Heath Ceramics in San Francisco, September 25 - October 25.

An Enormous Thank You to everyone who came out to the opening, all who supported me and those who helped put this show together. It’s the biggest body of work I’ve had in one place with a heavy enphasis on sculpture. If you are near San Francisco, please stop by and see the show in person.

Veiw a selection of work from the show here on the Boiler Room Website or on Artsy.

PARIS, I also have a few drawings in an exhibition alongside my wife, Evah Fan, until October 17th at Galerie L.J.

What do you get when you pair talented artist Brendan Monroe, best known for his hypnotic, science-inspired illustrations and sculptures with Heath, best known for our crisp modern style? You get Blobography.

Adam Silverman conceived of and curated the show. “Brendan and I have known each other for about a decade. His work lives in a weird parallel universe to that of ceramics, but I could easily imagine the two worlds colliding and resulting in something very strange and exciting. When we invited Brendan to collaborate he responded enthusiastically.”

The collaboration was a deep one that stretched both participants. Brendan sculpted forms out of wood, which were born of his paintings and drawings of alternate landscapes that feel both real and surreal. Then, working with LA Clay Studio manager Alex Reed, the forms became molds, which met clay, which then met glaze.

The show will include a series of limited edition pieces from the collaboration, as well as unique sculptures, drawings and paintings.

Join us at a reception with the artist on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 6–8:30 pm, share beer, wine and nibbles, and pick up some unforgettable art. The show runs through November 30 at Heath LA.
